As a result of an outbreak of Coronavirus in the IPL bubble in May, the second leg of IPL 2021 has been postponed till September 19. The defending champions Mumbai Indians will face the three-time winners Chennai Super Kings in Dubai on September 19. Dubai International Stadium will host 13 of the remaining 31 games, including the first qualifier and the final, according to the schedule posted on Allcricket. Including the Eliminator and the second qualifying, Sharjah will host a total of 10 games.
It is scheduled that the first of seven doubleheaders will take place on September 25. Games will begin at 3:30 PM IST (15:00 UAE time) in the afternoon, and at 7:30 PM IST for the normal evening games, as they did in 2018. (18:00 UAE Time). All clubs will play at least one afternoon game, with the Delhi Capitals, who are currently leading the league, scheduled to play up to three. Two afternoon games each will be played by CSK, MI, KKR, and PBKS.
